FAQ
How can I publish with JALA? Please use the Submission Form to submit your manuscript.
Can I submit my dissertation or master’s thesis? We advise that you rework your dissertation or manuscript before submission. You can review our page, ‘Rework Your Dissertation or Thesis for Publication.‘ We also advise that you review our ‘Submission Guidelines.’
Do you offer dissertation coaching or advice on leadership? No. JALA focuses on publishing peer-reviewed research, not individual dissertation support. For personalized academic coaching and dissertation guidance, we recommend Doctoral Pathways Consulting, LLC. Dr. Greg Benson, who holds a doctorate in leadership, provides specialized coaching for doctoral students at every stage of the research and writing process.
Does publishing my manuscript cost anything? Currently, publishing with JALA is free. This is thanks in great part to the generosity of the National Leaderology Association. While this may change in the future, we are currently trying to ensure that your work is seen and used. If you would like to help the cause, we encourage you to either apply for membership with the NLA or provide them with a small donation.
Are ORCID iDs Required? No, these are not required. If you would like to learn how JALA uses these, we invite you to read more about how we integrate ORCID iD Information.
What is Leaderology? Leaderology is the interdisciplinary social science dedicated to the systematic study of leadership through empirical research. To learn more about this emerging field, see our comprehensive overview here.
